At Global Learning for Sustainability (GLS), we offer a range of programs designed to empower girls and young women, promote gender equality, and address sustainable development challenges. Here’s a closer look at our core programs:
Leadership & Advocacy Training
Our Leadership & Advocacy Training program equips girls and young women with the skills and knowledge needed to become leaders and advocates in their communities. Through workshops, mentorship, and practical training sessions, participants learn how to influence decision-making processes and champion gender equality.
FREE GIRLS Clubs
The FREE GIRLS Clubs are entrepreneurial and advocacy groups for young women. These clubs provide training in financial literacy, business development, and economic rights. Members gain the skills and confidence needed to start their own businesses, achieve financial independence, and advocate for their economic freedoms.
Care World Programme
The Care World Programme addresses the need for accessible childcare in low-income communities. By establishing informal childcare units, we support women’s employment and reduce gender inequalities in the labor market. This program ensures that children receive quality care while their mothers pursue economic opportunities.
Gender Transformation Dialogues
Our Gender Transformation Dialogues create safe spaces for conversations about gender norms and stereotypes. These dialogues involve boys and men as allies, fostering an inclusive approach to gender equality. Through open discussions and community engagement, we challenge harmful norms and promote positive change.
Greening Schools program
In collaboration with partners, the greening schools program focuses on developing an eco-activism curriculum that integrates environmental education into schools. This project aims to raise awareness about climate change and sustainability, empowering youth to take action and lead eco-friendly initiatives in their communities.
